Terms & Conditions

SCOPE

These terms and conditions are between you and House of Gods Hotel and apply to all bookings of hotel rooms.

You can only make a booking if you are 18 years old or over. If you arrive at the hotel and are under 18 years of age you will not be permitted to stay. We may require photo ID as proof of age.

House of Gods do not permit any commercial activity or any activity that seeks to gain profit without any prior written consent from the owners and or authorised persons.

ROOM RATES

The room rate charges agreed when you made your reservation will apply to your booking. Meals, mini bar, drinks and other extras are not included in room rate charges, unless otherwise agreed.

Room rate charges must be paid on check-in (save in the event of cancellation); all other charges must be paid on check-out.

VAT AND LOCAL CURRENCY

All charges are inclusive of VAT.

INVOICES

An invoice will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking or at the time of checkin. Invoices cannot be modified after check-out.

PAYMENT POLICY

All bookings must be secured with a valid credit card at the time of booking.

Free Cancellation

House of Gods will take the full amount of a ‘Pay Free Cancellation’ rate within 7 days of your arrival date, this amount is non-refundable in case of non-show or late cancellation.

Change Date Once – Pay Now

House of Gods will take the full amount of a ‘Change Date Once - Pay Now’ stay at the time the booking is made. Bookings can be amended once up until 48 hours prior to the date of arrival. Date changes may incur a supplement depending on demand or availability. This amount is fully non-refundable in the event that you cannot attend your booking. Once one date change is made bookings cannot be amended under any circumstances.

Pay Now

House of Gods will take the full amount of a ‘Pay Now’ stay at the time the booking is made, this amount is fully non-refundable in the even that you cannot attend your booking. Bookings cannot be amended under any circumstances.

Group Bookings Payment Policy

This policy applies to bookings for 5 or more rooms. This reservation requires full pre-payment and is non-amendable and non-refundable. We will charge the full amount of the reservation to the credit card used to make this reservation shortly after the reservation has been made.

STANDARD AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

Sometimes things do change, if you need to change or cancel a ‘Free Cancellation’ reservation this must be done seven days prior to the arrival date otherwise the card one file will be charged. Cancellations can be made by contacting the hotel on 0131 230 0445 or in writing to hello@houseofgodshotel.com.

Amendments are subject to charges for any rate difference. This is of course subject to availability but we will try our best to accommodate.

Cancellations out of the 7 days policy will not be refunded.

‘Pay Now’ or non-refundable reservations cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If you think there is a chance you may need to amend or cancel a booking please book one of our refundable rates or ensure your travel insurance will cover this scenario.

No Shows on the day of arrival will be treated as non-refundable cancellations.

If you have booked a room through the use of a travel agency or an online travel agency (such as Booking.com, Expedia and Hotels.com), you must cancel or modify your booking through the agency that you used to make the booking.

Food and beverage may be added, modified, or cancelled without charge up to two days before your booking. In the case of a cancellation or no-show within two days of the booking, the full order value including VAT will be charged to your credit card on file as a cancellation fee.

Group bookings are not open to amendment.

UNFORESEEABLE CIRCUMSTANCES, AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

In the event of cancelling your hotel room due to extenuating circumstances within your non refundable cancellation period, we are able to extend a 20% discretionary charge to allow you to change date to a later time within a six month period. 

In the event of this situation the hotel will allocate the amount you have paid, minus the 20% cancellation fee as credit to be used at a later date of your choice. This can alternatively be issued as a voucher.

Please note that this entitles the customer to credit only and the original rate agreed may not be honoured. Rooms and rates are subject to availability.

Cancellations or date changes for extenuating circumstances can be made by contacting the hotel on 0131 230 0445 or in writing to hello@houseofgodshotel.com.

All cancellation and amendment requests are subject to discretion.

REFUNDS

Refunds of prepaid charges are generally processed within five business days after your request to cancel or modify your booking.

CHECK-IN (ROOMS)

Guaranteed at 3pm. If you arrive earlier, we will try our best to accommodate you prior to that.

CHECK-OUT (ROOMS)

11am. Late checkouts can be booked at the hotel subject to availability, please contact reception on +44 131 230 0445 for late check out. Late check-out fees may be charged to your credit card on file.

If you have not checked-out by 4pm we may charge an extra night. Open balances will be charged to your credit card on file.

We can store your luggage on the day of your check-out.

SHORTENING YOUR STAY

Once you have checked in at the hotel your stay cannot be shortened.

If you have booked a non-refundable ‘Pay Now’ rate then your stay cannot be shortened.

If you have booked a refundable ‘Pay Later’ rate then you can shorten your stay up to 7 days prior to your arrival date.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Food and beverage from outside vendors are not allowed to be consumed within House of Gods or the public areas of House of Gods Hotel, unless previously agreed.

PETS

Pets other than guide dogs are not allowed. If you or your party needs the assistance of guidance dogs during your stay, please notify us in advance of your arrival.

NO SMOKING AND VAPING

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the hotel. If smoking or vaping is detected a fine will be charged to your credit card on file.

ALCOHOL POLICY

We reserve the right to not serve alcohol.

DAMAGE TO HOTEL

Any damage to rooms, meeting rooms, or the hotel premises caused by your party during the stay and items missing upon your departure will be charged to your credit card on file.

LOST AND FOUND

You acknowledge and agree that House of Gods cannot be held liable for lost, damaged or stolen items. If you leave an item behind, it is your own responsibility to retrieve such item.

WIFI

Our wireless network is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express, or implied or statutory. We do not warrant that access to our wireless network will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free at all times or will meet your requirements. We are not responsible for the security, integrity, accuracy or completeness of any information that you transmit or receive while using our wireless network.

RECORDING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Any audiovisual recording, photo shoot, reproduction or representation of images including the premises and buildings of the hotel other than for strictly private use is subject to our prior approval.oval.

FORCE MAJEURE

House of Gods does not accept liability or pay any compensation for any breach of these terms and conditions or delay or failure to provide services contracted due to circumstances beyond our control, such as acts of God, (natural) disaster, fire, (acts of) war and terrorism, strikes, riots, civil disorder, governmental regulations, industrial disputes, adverse weather conditions or any other exceptional and catastrophic event, circumstance or emergency, delays in transportation, failure of services or inability to obtain any necessary information or consent from any authority.

PRIVACY

During the reservation process and your stay House of Gods collects your personal data. These data are processed in accordance with our Privacy Statement and also according to any applicable laws and regulations.
